Spring 1901 - It Begins!

Spring, 1901. Betrayal, disloyalty, perfidy, double-crossing lies, treason! Will anyone find a safe harbor? The following individuals rule the Great Powers:
King Peter - England
President Ed - France
Sultan Tom - Turkey
Tsar Joe O. - Russia
King Jeremy - Italy
Kaiser Bill - Germany (Heh!)
Kaiser Joe M. - Austria
(Four of you got your first choice, one second, one fourth, and one fifth for an overall score of 1.9. Not quite as good as last time, but below the dreaded 2.0.)
Let the diplomacy commence! Please remember to CC me on all diplomatic correspondence and to use [TH] in the subject header.
The deadline for moves shall be Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 9pm EST, which gives you a little more than a week to wrangle your initial plans. It is a very good idea to send me preliminary moves as early in a turn as possible so that you have something on the books. You can always change them, as many times as you like, and I shall always use the last set of orders I receive. Further, if you wish to change your moves after the last minute, you may do so. I shall accept orders right up until the moment I adjudicate. Of course, anything after the deadline is a crap shoot on your part.
Remember, press is permitted, encouraged, and may be posted on the forum and/or by email. You may also submit press to me for anonymous reposting. The only identifier there will be to make it clear it's not me.
Good luck to all!
