Dateline: Unknown - War afoot but undeclared. Rumors circulate in Paris of an alliance with Germany. Now that the acquisition of the minor states of Europe is coming to an end the major players of Europe are soon to be at each others throats. The talk of Paris cafés is that Germany and France have determined that English armies on Europe are a poke in their respective eyes and that their ship building program is a clear indicator that England wishes to strike at will against their mutual interests.

No word from Russia on a possible agreement with England, but an English landing in Norway is sure to raise Tsarist concerns, particularly with their armies poised to fight a Balkan war. Will the roof of Russia collapse while English armies are ejected from the continent? None can say, unless this is a lever for English and Russian cooperation.

In central Europe a bid for Munich by Italy has failed and surely spells the end of any agreement between these powers. An opening of negotiations between Germany and Austria seems likely. Reporters in Berlin report only silence. Rumors of illness or ignorance of the Kaiser have begun to circulate.

Turkey appears ready for a war with Russia, but their naval construction seems ill timed and misplaced. Unless of course they have allied with Italy.
